Sandlot State of Mind: 4th Annual Sandlot Revival

Sandlot State of Mind: 4th Annual Sandlot Revival

There’s baseball—and then there’s Sandlot Baseball. From April 27–29, the Carolina Sandlot Collective hosted its fourth annual Sandlot Revival in Durham, North Carolina, bringing together Sandlot teams across the country for a weekend that felt more like a homecoming than a tournament.

P.F. Flyers was proud to sponsor this year’s event and help keep it free and open to all, because we believe in moments like these that keep us a community, and sports bring us together.

Players gathered at the Historic Durham Athletic Park, the same field where Bull Durham was filmed, to share stories, play ball, and celebrate baseball. This wasn’t about rivalries or scores; it was about connection and community.

Fans grabbed brisket from Lawrence Barbecue, picked up limited-edition merch from their favorite teams, and relived the joy that first drew them to the game.

The Carolina Sandlot Collective puts it best: this is a block party where a baseball game breaks out. And at P.F. Flyers, we’re all about that kind of energy.

That’s why we launched The Captain Collection—a limited-edition line made for the leaders, the connectors, the ones who lace up not to win, but to bring people together—the same kind of folks who make weekends like this possible.

Here’s to the players, the fans, and everyone who showed up with a glove or just a good vibe. Want to be a part of something like this? Sandlot baseball is open to all. Find a team. Start your own. Or just bring a cooler and join in. To learn more about the Carolina Sandlot Collective, head over to their website or follow along on Instagram.

A special thank you to Matt Junior and Alex Boerner for their additional imagery from the event, and to Tyler Northrup for organizing.
