Sneaker trends over the last several years have been heavily inspired by the street style of fashion influencers and tastemakers. While the classic footwear staple is almost never out of fashion, sneaker design trends and wearing occasions continue to evolve season after season. This Spring we did the work for you and narrowed down the sneaker trends that are taking over Instagram explore pages. From Spring/Summer 2023 runways shows, to Google search patterns and street style influences, here are the sneaker trends to add to your closet this year.
Comfort first—
Fashion is no longer expected to just look good, it has to feel good too. The desire to make more sustainable choices is driving customers to shop for items that prioritize quality, comfort, and versatility.

Sport-inspired—
Crisp white sneakers are synonymous with some of the most popular retro-sport sneaker designs. From Stan Smiths to Air Force 1s, this look has long been popular in lo-top styles, and this year we’re seeing the trend pop up in high top silhouettes too. Further evidence white sneakers are here to stay? According to Google, the phrase “shop white sneakers” was up by 2,900% in the last year in the US.

Nostalgic classics—
As if the influx of flare leg pants, bucket hats, platform shoes, and low-rise jeans wasn’t enough of an indication, nostalgia is having a moment. Brands are reinventing their iconic silhouettes for a generation of shoppers whose style is influenced by the past.
Flyers style: Nothing says everything old is new again quite like the 1993. This PF Flyers classic rose to popularity as the shoe guaranteed to make you run faster and jump higher in the 90’s baseball hit The Sandlot. Shop our latest release, a limited edition of the iconic 1993.
High tops—
From fashion ‘it’ girls like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber rocking street style looks reminiscent of the 80’s, to the latest season of Stranger Things, high tops are back in a big way.
Coach’s Spring/Summer 2023 runway show featured models wearing high tops with baby doll dresses and oversized leather jackets.
Flyers style: The All American Hi is the high top you’ll never take off. This pair combines classic sneaker style in an elevated suede that makes them endlessly wearable.
