They have broken in very nicely.
Comfortable and durable
As a U.S. Marine veteran, I love these shoes. They breathe well, and they're practical. The sole's tread pattern is bold and aggressive; it'll keep me from sliding down the proverbial cliff. Their look, with the black rubber applied generously around the toe and the bottom edge, is outstanding. I do like the original WWII-era olive drab (O.D.) shade, although a darker shade wouldn't hurt. (The military used a darker shade for use in Vietnam, to blend in better in the jungle.) The only major complaint I have is the black laces. The black laces against the light O.D. background looks clownish to me. I pulled them out and have replaced them with O.D. parachute cord. Now the shoes look more military and serious. Also, the nylon parachute suspension lines will wear much longer than the original laces. So, this was a minor complaint that was easily remedied!
Shoes look great and feel great, highly recommend!
The PF Flyers fit perfectly and it’s nice to return to a brand that I loved as a kit. They are well constructed and should last me years.

I like the look and the color. I haven't worn anything but diabetic shoes for several years. So far these are working. If they continue to work I will consider buying similar styles.

The shoes are outstanding. They are comfortable, thick soles and durable laces. Don't tie them too tight at the top!

I bought these about 2 years ago so I could have a good shoe to hike, fish, work, and travel with. I have never had a better shoe. My line of work involves a lot of outdoor and rocky environments. I have walked through creeks, gone over large rock formations, and even worked as a camp counselor in these. They are fantastic. These shoes have gotten me through rain, snow, sun, and just about everything else. I love em. The only issue I had is that I wore out the laces and the fabric that keeps the ankle rubber in there has ripped, which is from me putting em through it for these past 2 years. They still got some use in em and they still get the job done.
New fav fall hikers
I’m 69 years old and just did a very intensive 12 mile backcountry backpacking trip with my son and his stepson. The PF Flyers Grounders were absolutely amazing. Great support, stuck to rocks wet or dry. I’m so happy with these things. These are my new hiking shoes and I absolutely love them and I’m gonna be getting a couple more pairs.

IMMEDIATELY I liked these shoes- I mean the INSTANT I put them on. The toe box is PERFECT. I might like these even better than my Converse. They lace up beautifully and have great support. Liked them so much I just bought another pair. Excellent investment.

Love my OD Green high top Grounders. Takes me back to my ten year old self. Run faster, jump higher, while setting the perfect office casual mode. Fits perfect for my feet. Width and toe box is just right for a regular size. Size is bank on. Super psyched to get these, well worth the wait. Looks like a brown leather pair is on the list next. lol Get some.
