The All-American High-Top helped write the early chapters of American sports, and the patchwork edition builds on that legacy with a fresh expression of craft and character. The navy and black colorway takes the hard-worn feel of classic workwear and pairs it with a silhouette rooted in Boston basketball history.
Instead of traditional canvas, the sneaker’s upper is cut from heavyweight denim in mixed navy washes. Raw edges, visible stitching, and pieced-together panels echo vintage work jackets and hand-mended jeans. Each pair wears in uniquely over time, developing its own fade, creases, and personality with every step.
A black rubber outsole and toe cap ground the shoe while lending durability. Leather details, including the embossed ankle badge and Bob Cousy’s stitched “14”, reconnect The All-American to the mid-century hardwood where it first made its name. Great look! I love the unique, beat-up style. Plenty of room in the toe box, good width. For reference, I usually custom order Converse high-tops in size 11 (wide width). The P.F. Flyer All-American High-Top 14 size 11 was too snug and short in the toe box, so I exchanged them for size 12. Fits and feels better than the Converse.
