All our sneakers are listed in standard US sizing. To convert from men’s to women’s sizes, add 1.5 sizes to the men’s size (for example, a men’s 7 is equivalent to a women’s 8.5).
Customers often prefer sizing up for a more comfortable fit in our Center and All-American franchises. Try a ½ size above your normal sneaker size.
A blend of field-tested roots with contemporary edge, our Grounder Low-Top Olive Green/Black was inspired by a legacy of mid-century utility sneaker innovation. We developed the original Grounder for the United States Army in the 1940s. Today, our low-top Grounder sneaker brings rugged resilience to the streets and trails, blending no-nonsense military practicality with modern design.
The Olive Green/Black colorway evokes retro pilot uniforms and machinery interiors, while black accents and a lugged outsole ground everything in tactical readiness. Clean lines, purposeful detailing, and a worn-in character make it as stylish on the sidewalk as it once was on the battlefield. A combination of military aesthetics and thoughtful features, this sneaker balances structure and breathability with effortless cool.

First, there's a reason this is called the Grounder. It's a heavy shoe, it's not lightweight. But once I wore it for a day or so, I liked it. A lot. After reading the reviews where people said they got a blister from the hard rubber toe protector, I ordered a half size up and haven't regretted it. I also use a special orthotic, but it slides in right on top of the (really nice) insole and I still have plenty of toe room. I've had no issues with blisters or anything else. The insole is thick and cushion-y. If you haven't had several foot surgeries, as I have, you'll love the insole on its own. I do think that ordering a half size up is smart, to give you more toe room, especially for days when you're wearing thicker socks, and it eliminates the blister issue. My only request is that they put a tab or loop on the heel to help with getting into the shoe. Overall: A+!

Just got my Grounders… love them! To add more appearance options, I also now have green shoe laces. Might get tan ones later.

They felt heavy in my hands but not on my feet, so walking is natural and unencumbered. The toe box is sufficiently wide to not cramp my foot, which has recently required a wide width vs medium.
My first pair of PF Flyers as a kid were green, so this release is nostalgic for me. I will now need to get a few other styles, lol.

It was worth the wait. I love them.

Comfy shoe. Laces are really short. Wish they made it in a wide.

First day of wearing them 🥸 just got back from a quick 1 mile walk with the dogs, not bad. I thought they felt a little heavy and stiff at first although, I’m sure they get better with wear 😬 absolutely love the look, the high tops used to be one of my favorites as a kid so, had to try these and pretty awesome so far 👍🏼

Very comfortable and heavy duty

I have received several compliments on my new PF Flyers (low top Grounder with olive color upper and black sole). This is a well-constructed shoe made of durable materials--heavy canvas upper and heavy-duty rubber sole.
Initially, I was concerned the sole was too heavy-duty, but not so. Very comfortable to walk in these shoes on all types of surfaces. I'm not going to wear these out anytime soon. I love mine and will be back for a second pair!!
Thank you,
Greg A. in Arizona

5-Star Review: A Retro Gem That’s Turning Heads
I recently picked up the P.F. Flyers Grounder Lo in Olive/Black, and they’ve quickly shot to the top of my sneaker rotation. The retro styling is what sold me initially—this colorway nails that mid-century military vibe, with the olive green canvas evoking old-school pilot uniforms and black accents adding a rugged, tactical edge. The ribbed toe bumper, lugged outsole, and heavyweight build give it an authentic heritage feel that’s straight out of the P.F. archives, but updated just enough for everyday wear.
What really stands out is how unique they are. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill sneakers that everyone and their brother is rocking—these are conversation starters. I’ve gotten several compliments while wearing them out and about. It’s refreshing to have a pair that’s not the usual mainstream hype.
Comfort-wise, they’re solid for all-day wear, and the quality feels built to last. They’re fast becoming my favorite in the collection, with that timeless look that pairs perfectly with jeans or chinos. If you’re looking for something with real character and retro charm, grab these. Highly recommend!

They hurt like hell and I blister on the knuckle of one of my toes. It actually broke my skin . But they look fantastic! I probably just need to wear them a few more months

Incredible shoes, although I replaced the black laces with OD for a WWII look.

They’re the most comfortable PF flyer shoe I own.. I typically will add an insole, but these are pretty comfy right out of the box. I like the look of them and I get compliments. Happy Father’s Day to me!

This is a great looking and well fitting shoe. I am very pleased with my purchase and…these are the first pair of P.F. Flyers that I’ve had since the 1960’s!
Lee C.5/5Verified
I love them.. they run a little big… I’m going to order a white pair …wish they sold them in kids size I would buy my granddaughter a pair…I absolutely love them
Lenice C.5/5Verified
Found them nervously uncomfortable at first… thought I’d made an error in choosing from nostalgia… BUT, thy are really nice! The name “Grounder” makes sense! They’re stabilizing and solid. Glad I bout h ‘em. Compliments are plentiful too.

There is probably no shoe that is as iconic as the classic canvas corral creeper jungle Millions of GIs in WWII wore canvas shoes, and these modern versions are fit for the urban jungle or wild savanna. Don't just wear shoes, wear a legend.
Eric R.5/5
Great shoes…they’re my favorite…comfy and retro looking…quality build
Kevin S.5/5Verified
Looks as anticipated. Feels better than expected. So comfortable. Could easily be an everyday wear. Also got compliments ! Looks great with my camouflage pants.
Nancy R.5/5Verified
Good fit. Comfortable. A bit on the heavy side. Need a loop on the heel to help pull on. Needs a loop on the tongue to pass laces through so the tongue doesn't slide down when putting them on.

Love them!!

It's true! You can jump higher and run faster.

The fit and look, and the quality.
Paul S.5/5Verified
They rock... and I'm 62 so I wore them back in the day
They beat the snot out of the Keds I have... I stopped buying Chucks when Nike got in the game
Brian E.5/5Verified
These are some fine looking sneakers! A little big, but I am pretty sure the next size down would be a bit tight. I wanted the black soles because I hate how stained and gross the white soles on all my other sneakers look.
